Course Description

Systems of linear equations and matrices; Determinants; Vectors in 2-space and 3-space; Inner product; Eigenvalues and eigenvectors. Sample space and events; Conditional probability and independence; Random variables, discrete and continuous probability distribution, joint probability distribution; Mean, variance, covariance and correlation; Confidence intervals; Hypotheses Testing; Regression. Examples in civil engineering will be given.
