Basic concepts of instrumentation systems used in civil engineering are introduced in this course. They include the working principles of common sensors in civil engineering applications, signal conditioning, noise reduction, data acquisition, sampling theorem and signal processing. The aim of the course is to provide the students a fundamental understanding of the design of a measuring system.
