Computational Intelligence and Intelligent Control

Course Description

This course introduces both the theories and practices of computational intelligence techniques and the computational intelligence approach to intelligent control. Main topics include: fuzzy logic and systems, artificial neural networks, genetic algorithms, swarm intelligence, ant colony optimization and artificial life; principles of intelligent control including adaptive, learning, and self-organizing systems, the above computational intelligence techniques applied to modeling, control and optimization; practical examples found in the industry and real-world applications; simulation and implementation with MATLAB.
