Introduction to Mathematics for Finite Element Methods

Course Description

The basic mathematical theory of the finite element methods will be introduced in this course, including Sobolev Spaces, Variational Formulation of Elliptic Boundary Value Problems, Finite Element Space Construction, Interpolation Theory in Sobolev Spaces, etc. Advanced topics include Adaptive Meshes and A Posteriori Error Estimation.
