The 22nd National Chemistry Competition and Winter Camp for High School Students

Five students of our team supervised by Prof Chan Shek Kiu won Bronze prizes in 'The 22nd National Chemistry Competition and Winter Camp for High School Students'. In order to enhance the science education in Macao, the DSEJ and the Faculty of Science and technology of University of Macau have sent representatives for the invitation from the Chinese Chemistry Association to participate in 'The 22nd National Chemistry Competition and Winter Camp for High School Students' which is co-organized by the Chinese Chemistry Association and the Shaanxi Normal University, held in Xi An from 5th - 12th January 2009.

We have total 8 people participated in this competition, including Prof. Chan Shek Kiu from the Chemistry Supporting Group of our Faculty and other representatives from Hou Kong Middle School, Yuet Wah College (Chinese Section) and also Pui Ching Middle School. The opening ceremony of the 22nd National Chemistry Competition and Winter Camp for High School Students held on 6th January, there are 164 candidates and a group of supervising teachers, observers, team leaders, experts from Education Department and also scholars, totally 380 people joining this event. And five students of our team finally won Bronze prizes after 2 days’ competitions on Theories and Experiments.
