Abstract

This talk will report the sampling theorems in reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces. It surveys the sampling theories in a unified way. One open question on sampling expansion of non-band limited signal is mentioned.

Biography

LUOQING LI received the B.Sc. degree in mathematics from Hubei University, Wuhan, China, the M.Sc. degree in mathematics from Wuhan University, Wuhan, China, and the Ph.D. degree in mathematics from Beijing Norml University, Beijing, China. From 1991 to 1993, supported by the China Scholarship Council, he was studying as a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Erlangen-Nurnberg, Germany. Since 1994 he has been a professor at the Hubei University. In 1999 he was a visiting scholar at the University of Erlangen-Nurnberg, Germany. He visited the Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Baptist University and University of Macao. Professor Li was a Program Chair of the International Conference on Wavelet Analysis and Applications (ICWAA 2001) and the International Conference on Wavelet Analysis and Pattern Recognition (ICWAPR 2007, 2008, 2009). He is the Managing Editor of the International Journal on Wavelets, Multiresolution, and Information Processing (IJWMIP). His research interests include approximation theory, wavelet analysis, learning theory, signal processing, and Pattern Recognition.
