Abstract

The recent researches on transversal signal-interaction concept for ultra-wideband (UWB) filter circuits in Nanjing University of Science and Technology are introduced in this talk. Transversal signal-interaction concept and its newly proposed variations have been finding more and more application in microwave ultra-wideband filter circuits. Several examples of filter circuits based on transversal signal-interaction concept are presented and discussed.

Biography

Dr. Wen Quan Che (SM’10) received the B.Sc. degree from the East China Institute of Science and Technology, China, in 1990, the M.Sc. degree from the Nanjing University of Science and Technology (NUST), China, in 1995; and the Ph.D. degree from City University of Hong Kong (CITYU), in 2003.

In 1999, she was a Research Assistant at City University of Hong Kong. From March 2002 to September 2002, she was a Visiting Scholar at the Polytechnique de Montreal, Canada. She is currently a Professor in Nanjing University of Science and technology, China. In 2007–2008, she conducted the academic research with the Institute of High Frequency Technology (HFT), Technische University Munchen, Germany. Her interests include electromagnetic computation, RF/microwave/millimeter wave circuits and subsystems, antenna, medical application of microwave technology etc. She has authored or coauthored over 80 articles in refereed international journals. Dr. Che has been the reviewers of several academic journals, including IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IET Microwaves, Antennas and Propagation, IEEE Microwave and Wireless Components Letters etc.

Dr. Che was the recipient of the 2007 Humboldt Research Fellowship presented by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation of Germany, and she was also the recipient of the 5th China Young Female Scientists Award in 2008.
