In this talk, we show how Ramanujan-Weber class invariants are used to construct elliptic curves over certain finite field that with B solutions, where B is one's birthdate.

Prof. Heng Huat Chan graduated with B.Sc. from National University of Singapore in 1991 and obtained his PhD in mathematics from University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign under the supervision of B.C. Berndt in 1995. He was a member of the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton for nine months beginning in August 1995. In 1996, he worked as an associate professor at the National Chung Cheng University in Taiwan. He returned to National University of Singapore in 1997 and is currently a professor at the university.

Prof. Chan is most interested in understanding identities recorded by Ramanujan in his notebooks and lost notebook. He is particularly interested in those identities that are closely related to modular forms of one variable and elliptic functions.
