An Introduction to Singular Systems
Speaker:Prof. Shengyuan XU
Professor of School of Automation
Nanjing University of Science and Technology
Date & Time:11 Jan 2016 (Monday) 10:00 - 12:00
Organized by:Department of Mathematics

Singular systems have been widely investigated in the past decades due to their extensive applications. A great number of results on state-space systems have been extended to singular systems. In this talk, basic ideas for singular systems are introduced; some research problems for singular systems are surveyed and the corresponding results are presented. Recent developments on singular systems are re-visited, and future possible research topics are also briefly discussed.

Prof Xu Shengyuan is from School of Automation, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, China. He received a grant from the National Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars of China in the year 2007. He is also granted the Cheung Kong Professorship in the year 2008 from the Ministry of Education of China. He has published over 80 SCI papers. His research interests include robust filtering and control, singular systems, time-delay systems, stochastic systems, multidimensional systems and nonlinear systems.
