Dr. Liu received his B.Eng. degree in Automation from Sun Yat-sen University in 2013, and his Ph.D. degree in Control Engineering from the University of Hong Kong in 2018 under the supervision of Prof. James Lam. For his doctoral and post-doctoral research, he was supported by the HKU Postgraduate Fellowship and the PH-ITF Fellowship, respectively. Since 2022, he has been a faculty member at the Department of Electromechanical Engineering, University of Macau, where he is currently a tenure-track Assistant Professor.

Research Interests
I am interested in the development of Control algorithms that integrate Intelligence, Optimization, and Learning techniques, as well as their applications to Networked Autonomous Systems (e.g., Drones, Autonomous Vehicles or Quadruped Robots) and Multi-robot Coordination. I am also interested in Data-driven Modelling and Learning-based Control for robot dynamics. Multidisciplinary collaboration is extremely welcome!
