a Full Professor in the Department of Computer and Information Science at the University of Macau, where I lead the Natural Language Processing &amp; Portuguese-Chinese Machine Translation Research My research focuses on natural language processing, with an emphasis on deep learning, machine translation, and more recently, large language models. I was honored to receive the Second Prize in the Technological Invention Award and the Second-Class Prize in the Science and Technology Progress Award category of the Macao Science and Technology Award in 2022 and 2012, respectively.
