Research Vision Statement
We research hard on understanding and exploring scientific strategic protective measures, to let everyone enjoy the benefits from safe and reliable energy, for every present in the future.

Research Mission Statement
Emerging high integration of data-driven, power-electronics and decentralized-control techniques is reshaping our energy internet of things system. This revolution demands attention, especially on safety and relaibiltiy concerns, which can lead to severe problems. Therefore, we are working hard on the research of the followings: 1) Efficient usage of emerging techniques to protect energy system; 2) Understanding and analyzing arising new threats due to energy revolution, investigate the impact and strategies to protect the system.

Dr. Keng Weng Lao is an assistant professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in University of Macau. Dr. Lao currently also works with the State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City. Dr. Lao obtained his bachelor, master and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 2009, 2012 and 2016 respectively.
