Department of Electromechanical Engineering (EME), formerly known as Mechanical Engineering, was founded in 1990. Electromechanical Engineering is an interdisciplinary field of engineering that incorporates the disciplines of both mechanical and electrical engineering, covers the broadest range of engineering topics amongst all related disciplines. We focus on the multidisciplinary education and research areas including, but by no means confined to, automotive engineering, control and automation, electrical engineering, energy conversion, engineering materials, engineering mechanics and dynamics, intelligent systems, manufacturing, mechanical engineering, precision engineering, robotics, thermal and fluid engineering etc.
