Prof. Jin-Song HU from Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences gave a talk entitled ‘Electrocatalysts for Anion Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells’ at the Faculty of Science and Technology on (09/05/2025).  At the seminar, Prof. HU, shared his latest research results in the fields of anion exchange membrane fuel cells. He highlighted recent research achievements in non-precious metal-based electrocatalysts for both anodic and cathodic reactions, aiming to reduce fuel cell costs and broaden their potential applications. Notably, Prof. HU introduced a novel molecular-based cascade anchoring strategy for electrocatalyst design, which has significant potential for large-scale production by enhancing active site utilization and lowering fabrication costs. Additionally, he shared insights into the utilization of binary active site electrocatalysts to improve the elementary reactions of alkaline hydrogen oxidation. The session concluded with an engaging Q&A, during which Prof. HU actively interacted with the audience.
