On June 25, 2025, Prof. Yang YANG from the School of Flexible Electronics at Sun Yat-Sen University delivered a captivating seminar at the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST), University of Macau. Prof. YANG presented groundbreaking research on chiral organic semiconductors, detailing how molecular self-assembly enables precise control of circularly polarized light (CPL) emission and detection. His work bridges chiral supramolecular engineering with flexible optoelectronic devices, demonstrating applications in 3D displays, quantum communication, and secure information processing through innovative CPL-active materials.
The seminar attracted over 30 faculty members and researchers from the Department of Physics and Chemistry (DPC). A dynamic discussion followed, exploring chiral spin selectivity, hierarchical structure-property relationships, and scalable fabrication techniques for next-generation chiral optoelectronics.
