輕軌工程是發展澳門工程專業的一項新的里程碑,對有意投身工程界的澳門青少年,及早裝備和接觸輕軌的有關工程概念,對他們將來的專業發展有着莫大的幫助。而在興建及運作輕軌的過程中,需要使用大量的機電工程知識,故本夏令營透過學生們對鐵路鋼軌材料分析、PLC在輕軌控制系統之應用、輕軌系統安全檢測與診斷,及人因工程的車廂設計考慮,讓青少年及早學習和接觸應用機電工程技術於輕軌工程。參加者將會被安排到澳門大學汽車工程實驗室、金相及腐蝕實驗室、激光實驗室、電子顯微鏡實驗室、電腦輔助設計及製造實驗室和工業工程實驗室等上課與實習。在實驗室之導師指導下進行一系列的理論以及實習課程。

Macau Light Rail project is a new milestone in the development of engineering. For the Macao youth who wish to join the engineering, since a large number of electromechanical knowledge is necessary in the process of the light rail construction and operation, it has a great help for their future if expose they to the light rail equipment and related engineering concepts early. Through the analysis of the light rail material, applied PLC control system in light rail, diagnosis of the light rail system, and carriage design with human factor considerations, students can learn and contact how to applied electromechanical engineering technology in light rail project in advance.

Participants will be placed in Automotive Engineering Laboratory, Corrosion / Metallography Laboratory, Laser Processing Laboratory, Scanning Electron Microscope Laboratory, Computer Aided Design and Manufacture Laboratory and Industrial Engineering Laboratory for theoretical and practical courses under the guidance of the teachers in the laboratories.
