Wireless Technology Study Summer Camp 2011

「無線科技研習夏令營」是一個通過遊戲和實驗，帶出無線通訊有趣之處的短期技術培訓課程。活動由澳門大學主辦，並於每年暑假期間，為本澳約30名高中學生（中四至中五）提供五天的科普推廣活動，而本年度「無線科技研習夏令營２０１１」將安排於六月舉行。

科普的理念和工程意識，是鼓勵青少年通過團隊合作，訓練解決問題和批判性思維的能力；通過動手項目，以吸引學生學習科學和工程。為此，「無線科技研習夏令營」分為上午及下午兩個單元。內容包括無線通訊基礎知識介紹、實驗、開發及互動遊戲；學生們被分成小組執行不同的活動，如磁勘探、基於 ZigBee控制的賽車運動、無線電監測和發現，以及學習使用全球定位系統裝置等。

The “Wireless Technology Study Summer Camp 2011” is the hands-on nature of study including experiments, discovery-based attraction and short technical training courses. The camp will be organized in the laboratories of University of Macau and around 30 high school students (Form 4 to Form 5) are invited to join for 5-day activities in June 2011.

The philosophy of popular science and engineering awareness for young students is implemented by encouraging teamwork, problem solving and critical thinking. The spark of excitement and the discovery-based learning that naturally accompanies the hands on approach is an excellent motivational tool to attract students to study science and engineering.

To this end, both morning and afternoon sessions are arranged in the camp. The morning session starts with the interactive technical training course followed by the hands-on experiences in the laboratory in the afternoon. The students are requested to work in group and perform different experiments like magnetism exploration, ZigBee based motion controlled racing car, radio monitoring and discovery-based learning using GPS devices for example.
