The transformation of organoboron compounds is usually carried out through tetracoordinate boron intermediates, mainly including additions to unsaturated bonds, rearrangements, transmetallations and so on. Although great progress has been achieved on tetracoordinate boron species, there are still shortcomings such as sparse activation modes, paucity of reaction strategies and difficulties on stereoselective control.
